Features of British Cuisine

Foodies think that British cuisine is simple and inelaborate. However England isn`t only famous for porridge and pudding. This country can surprise with national dishes.

Now I want to talk about the dishes which you must taste in Great Britain.

Tikka masala

This dish presents pieces of chicken fillet which is thickly napped with curry and tomato sauce. 

India renders a great influence on a local cuisine. Tikka masala recalls epoch of colonial prime of Great Britain. It appeared in Indian restaurants in London in 1970s, and became very popular. Since that time India and Britain have added it in the list of national dishes.

Scotch egg

                                                                   Scotch egg is the most favorite appetizer of Englishmen.

Boiled eggs bake in stuffing. You can eat this dish cold or hot, with spicy sauce or with mustard.

Fish and Chips

Fish and French fries are one of the most popular British dishes. It appeared in the 19th century. The cod which was deep-frying excels especially a tender taste. Potatoes are baked until crisp becomes golden and are served with sauce and green pea in the end. If you want to feel like a real Englishman, you would better eat it by hand on a newspaper.

In Britain the food have a very good quality so the necessity in culinary experiments is useless because the perfection is unreachable anyway.
